It may be hard to believe, but I sat on the other side of the desk at one time, and , like you, I had to solve staffing problems. I used headhunters and some of them were pretty awful. Thinking back it makes me remember how frustrating it was to have recruiters sending me resumes and recommending candidates who were not even remotely qualified for my openings. It amazed me that some of them actually made a decent living at it. Eventually I got the opportunity and in 1989 I went from corporate management to running the kind of recruiting firm that I always wished I could find for my own needs. I’ve done that, and since 1989 my company has developed strong relationships with some outstanding companies. I have become pretty good friends with many of my clients and that has always been a joy for me.
